Hey friend,

Can I be honest with you about something?

There’s a kind of tiredness that sleep can’t fix. You know the one. You wake up exhausted before the day even begins. You find yourself replaying conversations — wondering what you said wrong, why they’re upset again, how to make it better. You shrink yourself to keep the peace. You pour and pour until there’s nothing left to pour.

That tiredness has a name. And most of the time, it has a face.

“Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear your path.”

The hard truth — and I say this gently because I’ve been there too — is that some people in your life are not your people. They are energy vampires dressed as friends, family, or partners. They don’t always mean harm. But they drain you all the same.

And the cruelest part? You keep giving. Because you’re a good person. Because you believe in people. Because you’ve been told that loyalty means staying, no matter the cost.

But loyalty to someone else’s chaos is not a virtue. It is a slow surrender of yourself.
